Lease Assistance Grants & Loans Program

Lease Assistance programs help prevent low-income families facing eviction from becoming homeless by assisting with a one month rent payment or by assisting homeless families with move-in costs.

Limited funds are currently available for the following Cities: Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks. Please allow up to two weeks to process application.  The following Documents and Verification are required for application:
  • 3-Day Notice or Unlawful Retainer
  • Completed Family Budget
  • Driver's License or State I.D. for all Adults
  • Social Security Cards for all Adults
  • Social Security Cards or Medi-Cal Cards for Children
  • Check Stubs for Earned Wages - (4 pay periods)
  • Check Stubs for Unemployment
  • Check Stubs for Workman's Compensation
  • Check Stubs for State Disability Insurance
  • TANF/Cal WORKS Notice of Action
  • SSI/SSA Proof of Income/Bank Statements Showing SSI/SSA Deposits.
  • Documentation of Child Support

** It is important to note that lease assistance can only be granted to those applicants for which assistance will stop eviction, not delay eviction. **

All documentation must be submitted before application process can be completed.
